Be very careful with these guys- I ordered a battery/install for a BMW 650i. I had trouble with the website when I put in my credit card to pay it said there was some kind of tech issue. I used the chat feature and they were able to help with ordering the battery and scheduling the installation. The person assisting me on the chat sent a link for payment and I inquired if the first payment went through. They came back and said it did so I was all set. Thank goodness I asked or I would have paid 2x for $500 battery. In the mean time I emptied out my trunk (battery is on the trunk) and found that I had water in the battery compartment. I immediately went back to the chat and explained the issue and asked to cancel as I now realized I had bigger problems. Crickets!! Would not answer on the chat. I waited about 30 minutes and tried again. The answer I got was that the technician would be on his way to me after he finshed the job he was on. Not only did they completely ignore my request to cancel but also deleted it from the chat entirely!! At that point I figured whatever I’ll just take the new battery. Originally they said the tech would be to my house between 10-12. So around 12:15 I went back into the chat and asked if he was still coming today. They answered back that he was. About 12:30 I received an email saying the tech should be to me in about an hour. So about 1:30 he shows up and it turns out that the battery he brought was no good. He tested it on sight and said sometimes this happens with batteries from auto zone. Anyway , not his fault. I told him just put the old battery back in and I’ll deal with it next week. All good until somebody from 800 batteries calls me and says - we can send the tech to go get another battery and come back. This was not an option for me as I had to be somewhere that evening. They explained to me that if I cancel it is $125 service fee. For what!!! They brought a bad battery. So I have to pay $125 for your tech to bring out a bad battery, not to mention- I tried to cancel within minutes of ordering anyway and that part of the chat was deleted!! Be very careful with these guys. * also after I posted this I see this is Medford. That is not the store I dealt with. I am in Maryland so my apologies. I booked this service online so I have no idea of the location

I posted this to Thumbtack where I found this merchant, only to have it taken down by them within 5 mins. of me posting. So, including here on google to inform people. 1-800 Battery stated they would arrive the same day (Monday) within 2-4 hours, as well as send a confirmation email containing an invoice. The technician was a no show, and no email was sent, even with me attempting multiple times to call, text and chat online. Finally on Tuesday after chat online and calling customer service, a technician showed up at a little after 11AM. The next day I went to my mechanic to check the battery as well as my tires. The health report indicated it was a bad battery and needed to be replaced. They advertise a new battery install, but do not check the battery life when they pick up from their warehouse prior to installing in your vehicle. I requested a refund as they gave me a 3-year warranty on the battery. Only to be told differing narratives. One agent stated I could gain a refund if I returned the battery (would not disclose the location until I could confirm battery in hand). The second stated this was completely against their strict policies that I could only be warrantied out and receive no refund. This version was confirmed by their claims department as well. I requested corporate/supervisor to speak with - have to wait another 24 hours to be contacted. Only today did I finally receive the invoice. So, after all this I paid for 2 batteries, lack of communication and transparency, wate of my time and may be stuck with a charge that should be removed. DO NOT use them; it is a scam to get your money and prey on those in desperate circumstances.

Scheduled a battery delivery and replacement a day ahead, no one shows up and they didn’t bother to contact me. So I’m out time taken off from work and uber costs to an appointment. Don’t use them.

My 2020 BMW needed a new battery. I called the dealership, they said a tech would call me back with pricing and availability. I called two other BMW mechanic shops, one said they'd call me back, the other said they couldn't change a battery at this time. I got online again to search for more local shops, and kept seeing the sponsored ad for 1-800-Battery so decided to check out the website. I punched in my zip code, VIN, and the website generated what battery options were available for delivery with install. I picked one and paid on the website at 3pm. By 4:45pm I had the install technician calling me to tell me he was heading my way and would be at my house in about 45 minutes. He arrived right when he said he would, had the battery changed and programmed within an hour of arriving, in the rain! Everything is working as it should, no issues. I am highly satisfied and so thankful with the quick response time. By the way, I'm still waiting for the dealership and the other place to call me back over a day later!! I'm located near Kansas City, KS.

This company should not be in business. Fraud departments and attorney generals should be investigating them. It is a disgusting scam and all involved should be held accountable. Was promised a 2 hour window. Six hours later tech shows up nasty and angry and pissed at me. Argued and yelled at me. He was 6 hours late and I was wrong. Attitude and anger. That’s how I was treated as a customer who had paid the bill in full 6 hours prior. But I was wrong. Someone answered my texts when I asked 6 times where is your tech. Each time it was an excuse and added more time. Finally I canceled the order once I saw all the horrific things people wrote about them. At first I only saw their website and it was all positive. Keep researching and you will find hundreds and hundreds of terrible reviews, complaints, and stories of people being ripped off. It’s does not seem to be a real company. Now I have to pursue getting my money back. Almost $500. Need everyone to know…stay away from 1-800Battery…it’s not credible, reliable or trustworthy at all.
