Central Battery Specialists

Central Battery is a excellent local Charlottesville business! Not only will you get excellent service but you will also get the best price as compared to the national chains too.

Decided to run an errand on my lunch break yesterday and BAM! dead battery. Got a jump from a coworker and headed straight to central. Faster than you can get through the line at Bodos I was back on the road! You guys rock! Also, super friendly, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Keep up the great work Central!

I really like this place. It’s got a really good vibe. The people are very friendly and they’re not afraid to go back-and-forth with you and actually let you know what’s actually wrong. unlike most people that just tell you you have something bad just so they can make a couple extra bucks. The long haired gentleman I dealt with today was quite pleasant. I highly recommend showing up to these guys if you need anything battery wise.

If you are in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area and you need a vehicle battery, Central Battery Specialists, 750 Harris Street, Charlottesville, is THE place to go. I’ve been utilizing Central Battery Specialists for all my vehicle battery needs, and some other applications as well, for at least 30 years. They can install a new battery for you at their shop, or you can buy one and install it yourself. You will not find a better source for automotive batteries or better people to buy them from. In addition to batteries for cars, trucks, tractors, generators, etc. they also have batteries for special applications such power supplies, fence chargers, and electronic equipment. They are knowledgeable, friendly and honest. Seriously – why would you go someplace else?

I'm always blown away by how helpful and friendly I find the staff when I have battery issues. It's how customer should be. Don't waste your time at other places or big box stores. They have helped me with car batteries, golf cart batteries and a generator battery. We are lucky to have them in Charlottesville.
