They don't answer the phone anymore. I loved this company. They would allow local pickup, discount the shipping, it was great. Nothing tells me I don't matter as a customer more than only getting to interact with the annoying chatbot and waiting for when ever someone maybe gets back to you. Edit: The response below reenforces my point. Firstly, I Did use their chatbot during business hours and request a call. Second, it was far faster and easier to just call and ask if I could come in.

Absolutely the worst: 11/5/26 - I'm done with CHROME BATTERY. Received my order for a CHROME BATTERY YTX30L last week. I charged it and tested it with my BK PRECISION 601B battery Analyzer. It tested at 81% of a new 30 AH battery. FAIL - RETURN. This week I received my YTX20-BS and tested it similarly (86%) of a new 18AH battery. This is terrible, returning.... I have had the SAME experience with Zipp Battery and Pirate Battery (same company). For comparison testing, I tested a 2 YEAR OLD Power Star H-D YTX20-BS battery. It tested @ 96% and still has 1 year left on the warranty. I don't think people know what they're getting. The battery might start your machine fine today but if it isn't constantly on a trickle charger and the weather gets cold, you may not have the reserve capacity to get "fired-up." My advice; steer clear of these brands. Or, charge your new batteries and take them down to your local auto supply store and get a "free" battery test. If more people did this, they would know exactly what they purchased and those "unearned" 5-star ratings will vanish. Perhaps they will finally start manufacturing batteries to spec. Quality costs and I imagine prices will increase. But, if you are happy with receiving 81% of a battery at 100% of the price; please disregard. The company's warranty is a joke and a fraud. The warranty only allows 1 replacement within the warranty period. So, they send you one substandard battery, you file a warranty claim and they send another substandard battery: end of story. They should be investigated. I'll bet NONE of their batteries meet industry standards.

Tamara helped me with the warranty registration for my new battery. After business hours email responses. Quick replies and helped me when I was not able to process the registration online. GREAT service!! Strongly recommend!!

I ordered a battery for my bike April 27, 2021. I was to receive it a week or two later. Today is July 9th and I still don't have the battery. I have ordered batteries from Chrome Battery before and I had no problem. I got them when they said I would and they fit and worked fine. This time, I don't have it. I have written to them several times. I get a standard message in return. Basically it says, "we are looking into your order or situation and we will get back to you." I wrote back to them yet again, yesterday they sent me back the same message. "Were are looking into it" and "We will get back with you". I missed several group rides and tours this summer. I finally had to go and buy a battery at a battery store. I still do not have the battery I ordered, they have not sent it nor given me my money back. This is sad because I have ordered from them before with no problem. I feel like they are just pushing me off to the side and have no intention of fixing the problem. I'm still waiting to see what happens. If they fix this, I will probably order from them again. If not, I will probably update my rating of them with another time line and hopefully it will help others that can't afford to throw their money away.

My battery only lasted 10 months on my 2014 Harley Dyna before it would not hold a charge longer than a few days. Chrome offers a 12 month return policy, but it is an inconvenient policy. The defective battery needs to be shipped to them (on your dime) and then you have to wait for the battery to be received before they will send you a new one. This return policy means going without a battery for your vehicle for about 2 weeks time. I asked them how they would feel if they had to go without a battery for 2 weeks in their vehicle? No response back from them. I gave them a solution that is fair. I would pay for a new battery and have them ship the new battery out immediately. In the meantime I would send them the defective battery back. Once they receive the defective battery reimburse me for the battery I just purchased. This idea would solve the issue and they would have a customer for life promoting their product to other motorcyclist. Unfortunately, I have not received a response on my solution. Now this company has lost a customer who is going to tell potential customers to stay away and tell them to head to a brick and mortar store instead.
