Current Electric Systems

I called Jason (CES) after having three other electricians out to quote some panel work in a 1905 house in Lowry Hill. I actually apologized to him initially because I didn't think it would be worth his time, since I thought I'd already picked my best option. When I told him what the quotes were, he gently suggested he might be able to find a workable, less expensive solution and he'd like to try. So he came out with no trip charge and ended up quoting, and doing, the work for about $5,000 less than the next lowest quote. And he was thorough, communicative, and extremely easy to work with (as was Beth in the back office). This is an old, old house with lots of electrical quirks and he did an excellent job. We just passed inspection last week. Couldn't be happier.

After some elderly frustration at trying to pick an electrician to install a new breaker panel for me, my son took pity and said, "mom, I'll do it for you". He went online, picked the first one, and the rest is history now. What a wonderful team to work with. Very professional. Quiet. Worked until the job was finished. Kind. Polite. Efficient. And wonderful work ethic. My local City worker just came to inspect the install/work they did, and said, "the company you chose did wonderful work". I am very happy witih Current Electric Sytems and would call them again, if needed.

Current Electric was the least expensive and highest quality of customer service of the 3 bids we received. Fully updated the house from old fuses to new breaker panel and external service from the power line. They came in under budget, one time, and had great communication. We have a 1954 house and we will have them back when we do some other remodeling. I cannot recommend them enough. High quality, great prices, great communication. They also let us know of some other issues for the future, prioritized them, and gave us estimates.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Current Electric Systems on two separate home projects, and we couldn’t be more impressed. From start to finish, their professionalism, quality of work, and customer service have been exceptional. Our first project involved installing new light fixtures in the living room. Shortly after, we noticed a circuit would short when we used the vacuum. When we called, they were incredibly responsive and came back promptly to fix the issue without any hesitation. Everything has worked perfectly ever since. Because of that positive experience, we were more than happy to hire them again for a switch re-wiring job. Once again, they exceeded our expectations. They are incredibly transparent about their project estimates and take the time to explain what factors might affect the overall cost. That level of honesty and clarity is rare and very much appreciated. Every interaction, from Beth in the office to Jason the owner, has been friendly, helpful, and professional. It is clear they care about their work and their customers. I confidently and happily recommend them to anyone in need of electrical services.

Quality installation, great price, okay communication. Two EV chargers were installed in my garage, which also required a meter upgrade. On there communication: • Current Electric was very helpful during while getting a quote, providing a clear options for the installation. • The day of the installation, the power needed to be off at the house. While I knew the power needed to be cut at some point, it was not made explicitly clear that it would happen that day, nor that it would be cut for the whole day. • During the installation, one of the installers broke a couple of things (Troy B.; a light bulb, a wall mount for my modem), and while minor, I was not informed at any point. • The plastic covers for the EV chargers were swapped, so the chargers had the wrong serial numbers. Current Electric did come back out and corrected the mistake. • They quoted that the chargers would be on one breaker, with the chargers sharing power. They instead installed each charger on a separate breaker. While they didn't do the work as quoted, the way it is installed is actually better for me, so I'm not complaining. Overall, I would still go with Current Electric, due largely to their economical pricing.
