24 Volt Battery Charger died, called left message, no return call, emailed no reply.

Located off Deadwood avenue, Dakota Battery been has been there for generations and it shows in the work and the camaraderie of the staff. The installed auxiliary batteries and all the safety measures needed for a well working system. They were also able to install a custom alternator. I pull alot of power with lights and a winch and they make sure I have the proper system.

The staff here is really nice. I cannot recommend their work or parts, however. This is my history with them: Dodge motorhome alternator - rebuilt & failed immediately. Ford Ranger alternator - failed twice after rebuilds, (3 years/20,000 miles on each) charged full price to fix every time. Ford Ranger starter, failed right after warranty period, bought a new one elsewhere. Ford Explorer alternator - failed 1000 miles after rebuild, then again after 2 years (about 5000 miles, full price to fix) and then again after another 3 years (10,000 miles.) I am pretty frustrated that I try to support local businesses and only get a 6 month warranty on work, and repeated failures, when I could pay just a few dollars more for a lifetime warranty part elsewhere that would also come with a lot less hassle and expense in the long run.

Will not be returning due to sexual harassment. Took my Jeep there with an electrical issue on Wednesday, May 21st around 11am. Mark was looking at it and said I could come after hours and pay him directly to save money to fix it, or I could sit on his face as payment. As a female, this is extremely disrespectful, and it is sexual harassment. I left and contacted the owner, Casey, who asked Mark and Justin (who was standing next to him) if it was said. Both shook thier heads yes. Casey attempted to bribe me and offered to fix my Jeep for free due to Mark being a "good mechanic for 7y" and if he fired him, he might as well close his doors. I declined the offer. The only justifiable response to an employee sexually harassing a customer is termination. I really hope this review finds itself to Mark's wife so she can read it -Reposted due to my original getting removed-

Battery light came on traveling through Rapid City, so I showed up at 8am Monday morning. Casey, Reid and Ben took great care of me! They diagnosed the issue gave me options and got me sorted out and back on the road. Good people and great service A++
