Michael was attentive, on time, and very personable. I had a lot of anxiety around my 2010 Prius and the work it may need. Michael allowed me to stay with him while he did my diagnostic appointment and answered every single question I had. He didn’t just give me a short brief answer, he would pause and walk me through the answers and show me exactly what he was talking about. He allowed me to learn new things about my car and was very professional and kind about it. He never once spoke to me like I was stupid or like I was bothering him. At the end I still had some anxiety and asked him to reassure me that my car was safe to drive and he did. One of the things I need done is to change my spark plugs, he let me know at the end of my appointment if he doesn’t hear from me he’ll check in. And not in a pressure to use him for the repair way, but in the caring about my safety way. When he sent my diagnostic report it came with pictures, a full report, and a pdf of his code reader and the system that checked my hybrid battery. It was hands down the most thorough diagnostic report and appointment I have ever had on my vehicle. Finding someone who knows hybrids like the back of their hand and also is willing to come to you is so incredibly hard. But Michael far exceeded my expectations. Beyond being a kind and honest mechanic he also does beautiful work within the community in his free time. If for any reason you are having issues with your hybrid and are second guessing hiring him, take this as your sign to just schedule the appointment. You will not be disappointed. My son's car broke down and I took it for diagnostics at Toyota which was astronomical and we could not afford it so I started to look online for hybrid repair and came across Family Hybrid Auto Repair LLC and spoke with Michael. He came out and wow, I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable, kind service tech to take care of my needs. The price was pennies on the dollar compared to what Toyota wanted and I may never go to Toyota ever again unless it's something that he can't do. With hourly labor prices skyrocking this is truly the way to go. They even charged a very small amount for coming to my home.
