Called twice. For the 40kW Leaf battery upgrade. Terrible attitude. They can simply hang up on you during sales call. What to expect then if there are any warranty issues?

We purchased a used 2013 Lexus CT200h (essentially a 2nd gen Prius with leather seats and a smaller body) with 165,000 miles last year for a great price. The car ran and drove smoothly getting 43-45 MPG on the highway BUT eventually came the dreaded P0A80 code suggesting hybrid battery replacement was indicated. Using the Dr. Prius mobile app, to read CEL codes and reset as needed, I performed battery lifespan and charge tests (there is a small App upgrade fee for these tools) demonstrating the characteristic 'V' shape of worn cells within the hybrid battery block indicating heat stress and poor balance in the center cells of the block, plus the battery life indicator suggested 27% life remaining. Knowing it was definitively time to to replace the hybrid battery, I began investigating options for hybrid battery refurbishers. Initially I considered refurbished batteries but decided on a new battery considering significant life left in this CT200h. I live in rural southern Utah, over 2 hours from a larger city, so a company that offered remote install was critical, vs. installing a shipped battery w/o installation protections or service available. After deeper investigations I decided on Greentec as they have a well established track record, have shown positive growth across the Nation (dabbling internationally with offices in Canada and potentially overseas into Europe) AND I was very impressed with the company's history, ethos, and drive for recycling hybrid battery packs into other uses. You can bring your vehicle to their store for installation or they can come to you. Greentec employees do their own remote installation, whereas other hybrid battery services use subcontracted installers to perform remote installation. Greentec offers refurbished hybrid batteries at competitive prices or battery packs with all new cells using improved technology and performance over the stock NiMH packs OEM in these vehicles, they have physical brick and mortar locations across the country (also one w/i 4 hours of my town) AND the do remote install with future service included! I emailed the company's estimate service on their web page and was contacted within one day by a service member (Matt Kueser) from their Kansas home office. Matt connected me with the Salt Lake City regional store who phoned me to schedule install within the week. Azahry, the store Manager, called and scheduled remote install for a Friday afternoon. He was able to perform the installation curb-side while I was at work!! He brought two battery packs spec'd for my vehicle (Propper Prior Planning!!); I sure hope my battery pack has the Green cells in it!! :) You can see the new tech cylindrical cells which are used in their 'all new cells' hybrid battery (when compared tot he rectangular batteries which are tightly packed together in a stock battery pack). The complete installation and testing process took about one hour, and when it was completed, Azahry rode along for a test drive through the neighborhood of my workplace. I immediately noticed the vehicle operating in EV mode SIGNIFICANTLY longer than it ever had previously! Azahry indicated that the car may display the P0A80 code again and it may remain in the trouble code memory for a bit, but that eventually the ECU and hybrid system would 'learn' the specs of the new hybrid battery pack and I would see efficiency gains. Its now been over three months and three tanks of gas since the install. We're averaging 47 MPG across the three tanks, two and a half tanks have been 'city' driving with part of one tank (275 miles) involving interstate and state highway travel (400+ miles on 8 gallons, that tank!). The vehicle operates in EV mode around town MUCH more than the first year of ownership on the stock, 13 year old hybrid battery pack, and when the engine starts, the transition is seamless!! HIGHLY recommended with a proven record, nationwide service, brick and mortar locations AND offer mobile replacement and service.

I would not recommend this company to anyone in need of a new EV battery. I brought my Prius in for a replacement after the battery had died. My car was kept for multiple days without any updates. I paid over $2,000 plus a warranty for a new battery, which failed less than two weeks later. Because of this, I had to order a tow truck to bring my car back to the shop and relied on multiple Ubers to get to and from work, as well as trips to drop off my keys, return to work, and pick up my car. When I asked the front desk associate about the issue, he had no knowledge or helpful information. I had to look up the codes on my own. I also inquired about reimbursement for the tow and Uber expenses, but he was unable to provide an answer. I had to contact a customer service representative, who denied my request. Overall, I would not return to this company and would not expect helpful answers or support.

An extremely easy and worthwhile main battery upgrade on a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid at the shop in Utah. Greentec got me on the schedule super fast and the appointment was just as quick. Took the vehicle to the shop and was in and out in just under an hour. Jaxx at the shop was very knowledgable, took a few moments for some dialog to confirm some vehicle performance issues and then did a great job. I ran the vehicle up one of our canyons afterwards and the performance was outstanding with noticeably renewed pep and guess what, the IMA error did not appear. What a relief. I also found the cost to be very reasonable. Very happy and I can highly recommend the West Valley, Utah location of Greentec.

I needed a new hybrid battery for my 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It had over 136,000 miles and is now 14 years old. I noticed last year that whenever I backed out of the garage, it now would always start the engine to move, were before, it would use the battery. I didn't have any error codes but I knew it needed to be replaced because it wasn't really working anymore. So I researched why to get a new hybrid battery and found GreenTec. I was very happy at the cost because the dealer wanted much more. The warranty was the same but GreenTech was much cheaper. I made an appointment and drove my car to West Valley to their shop to have them replace it. I decided to get a new battery to get the 3 yr warranty and I plan on keeping it for several years as well. Took them a little over an hour. He also filled my radiator fluid up and let me know I needed to replace my engine air filter. :-) We took it for a test drive and I noticed that the battery was being used backing out of the shop. Yea! After driving it for 2 days, I've noticed the battery is now being used for low speeds, acceleration, and maintaining constant speeds. I am very happy so far with their service and price for the new battery. I have such a BAD taste in my mouth for Dealers who overcharge and expect me to be happy about it. Very happy with GreenTec.
