Went in for as I had a hybrid battery warning and needed a new battery. Eddie was patient and extremely helpful, explaining everything that was needed. The service was quick and professional. Definitely would recommend them to anyone with a hybrid!

SAVED ME $6500 FROM SKETCHY SOUTH BAY FORD SERVICE I recently took my 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid to Hybrid Republic after a frustrating experience at South Bay Ford nearby. My car was giving inverter over-temperature codes and shutting down while driving, especially in hot weather. I initially took it to South Bay Ford, where they told me the issue was the transmission—a $6500 repair. Their diagnosis felt off, and they weren’t transparent about how they reached that conclusion. They even refused to let me speak with any of the mechanics who supposedly looked at my car. Enter Ernie and Lucas at Hybrid Republic. From the moment I called, they were incredibly communicative and transparent about the process. Within just 15 minutes of opening the hood, they diagnosed the real issue: a broken air conditioning system that cools the hybrid battery, causing the inverter to overheat. The repair cost me around $600—a far cry from the unnecessary $6500 transmission repair suggested by the dealership. Not only did Ernie and Lucas solve the issue, but they also took the time to walk me through every step of the process, explaining what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. After the repair, I took my car on a 200-mile road trip in the dead heat, and the problem was completely resolved. If you own a hybrid and need a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and transparent mechanic, I can’t recommend Hybrid Republic enough. Ernie and Lucas saved me from a costly and unnecessary repair, and I’ll definitely be returning for any future needs. Five stars all the way!

I am always skeptical when I read reviews, I always think , I wonder if they were paid to say that, Or if they work there? But let me tell you I was not paid nor do I work here. This place is hands down the best! Ernie was extremely helpful! Never made me feel pressured or unsure like other mechanics have. He is very knowledgeable and honest. He made my old Prius run like NEW!
