NTB-National Tire & Battery

I had a very disappointing experience. On Friday afternoon, my run-flat tire was punctured near a street drainage area. I took my car to the nearest NTB. The staff told me they’d order a replacement tire that would arrive by Saturday around 3:30 PM, so I’d have my car Sunday. I emphasized I needed it Sunday. I left my car. When I called Saturday, a different person said no order was placed at all. Now the tire would only arrive Monday. Worse, they suddenly asked for a $25 deposit, which no one mentioned when I left the car. I wasted time waiting for my Uber on Friday and now had to give my credit card over the phone just to fix their mistake. This was poor customer service and a lack of accountability. To make matters worse, Sunday was my birthday, and their failure completely disrupted all my plans for that day.

I had a really good experience with this NTB location after picking up a nail in one of my Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires. I had just bought a brand new set of four tires in May, so getting a puncture a month later was frustrating, especially once we realized the nail was too close to the sidewall and the tire could not be safely patched. German, the shop manager, and Marvin were both great to work with. They were patient, clear about what needed to happen, and got the replacement handled within the day. You can tell this shop is juggling a lot between appointments, walk-ins, deadlines, and customers who all need help quickly, but the team stayed professional and kept things moving. I also appreciated that they explained why the tire had to be replaced instead of patched. They even showed me the jar of nails, screws, and other road hazards they have pulled from tires, which made me feel a little less unlucky. Apparently, with all the construction around town, this happens more often than you’d think. Big shoutout to German and Marvin. They took care of the issue, communicated well, and made an annoying tire situation much easier to deal with. I will definitely come back to this NTB location.

In this branch of NTW, Lee Hwy in Arlington, VA, I was served by outstanding employees such as Taj and Ramon. They did an outstanding job very efficiently. The tire was replaced… I was satisfied with the good service done at a reasonable price. Thank you!

Had an appointment, Spent 5.5 hours to get 4 new tires installed that a 3 hour estimate was provided. Observed customer after customer given estimate which were never achieved. Work progresses at a snails pace. Rework was required because they forgot to install the tire pressure sensors. They did not rebalance the tires after they did install the new sensors. They did not remove the old wheel weights before balancing and added weight at opposite sides of the wheel. They also used exterior weights on aluminum wheels. I cannot recommend this tire shop. Update: I called the number provided in the owners response, no answer. Sounded like it was a general catch-all extension. Not a very good response even at the corporate level.

Great service. Good price. Not pushy or trying to up sale. picked up a nail and they had a repaired within two hours fitting me in around other appointments.
