Porter Electrical Contracting - Solar, Battery Storage, and EV Chargers

Porter Electrical installed solar panels on our home in 2022, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Their team was organized, efficient, and professional. The installation itself took just one day, and although we had to wait several weeks for Eversource approval to connect to the grid, the system has worked flawlessly ever since. Chris Porter knows this work inside and out, and he took the time to explain how everything functioned, including how to use the manufacturer’s app to monitor the panel's electricity production. When we decided to add two whole‑home batteries, it was an easy decision to call Porter Electrical again. The same high level of professionalism carried through the entire project. They handled all of the extensive Eversource paperwork, kept us informed at every step, and were always available for follow‑up questions. Chris’s experience with both installation and utility coordination made the process smooth and stress‑free. He and his team are truly a pleasure to work with. We recommend Porter Electrical without hesitation to anyone considering solar or home battery installation.

We are very, very happy with the work that Porter Electrical has done for us. They've installed our solar array, battery, and completed a conventional electrical project in our home over the last year. They are professional and possess expertise, but they are also friendly and easy going. They valued our business and our time. Importantly, they are good communicators and very responsive, which is uncommon. We highly recommend them for solar and battery installation and general electrical contracting. Thank you for your excellent work.

I have a complicated dual-axis solar tracker system that failed and needed repair. The repair required electrical expertise, mechanical expertise, and rigging expertise necessary for a large lift with a crane. Porter Electrical Contracting was the only company I found that was willing and knowledgeable enough to tackle the job. In less than 5 hours they accomplished task. The system has been performing flawlessly since their repair. Every person I met on the crew was professional and friendly. I'm very happy with Porter Electrical, and I have no hesitation at all in calling them for future jobs or recommending them to friends. A big thank you to Chris Porter and your staff!

We've had quite a bit of work on our house in the past year and have had half a dozen contractors working on various projects. By far, Porter Electric was the easiest contractor to deal with and also the contractor that we had the most confidence in. The communication was great from the initial quote to the final approvals. The workmanship is top notch and we have had zero issues with the system. We are so happy with the results that we have reached out to them for another project.

Our solar system install was just completed and the crew did an amazing job. Both with the quality of work and the site clean up. Also, I asked many questions as the install was underway and they were all received and responded to in a timely and useful manner. Could not have asked for a more professional crew. This install was done in Chichester NH and I would highly recommend Porter Electric for any of your solar and electrical needs. Schedules were kept and completion was done on time as promised. The office staff at Porter was also very helpful and guided us thru the process from start to finish.
