Precision Auto + EV

Really great experience working with Curt at Precision Auto + EV. I actually drove from CA following the lead from a previous reviewer who had the same problem as me with his 2019 Chevy Bolt. I was getting code P0D6B- the dealership closest to me said I'd need a new AC Compressor and quoted me $2700, Curt said a little over $900. It was awesome that Curt had just done this exact work. We coordinated so that he had the part ready and I could just drop the car off for a couple hours and then be ready for the long drive home with cold air blasting. I had called a few places slightly closer to me but some never called me back, others needed to do their own diagnoses and wanted the car for a week. Curt picked up the phone and was really straight forward, easy to talk to, and down to prioritize the work with my mini-road trip schedule. Honestly, I'll probably call him again if something comes up if my and car can make it that far!

I have a 2018 Tesla Model X. Tesla wanted to charge me $4,000 to fix my AC — it needed a compressor and a few other things. I found Curt at Precision Auto + EV online and spoke with him. He was very knowledgeable and made me feel extremely comfortable. He took the car in and fixed it, and what a huge price difference! If you have a Tesla or any electric vehicle that's out of warranty or not covered by the dealership, you've got to go see this guy. Extremely honest, great work — couldn't be happier with the service. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend any Tesla owner who has to pay out of pocket for their services to give Kurt a visit! Tesla quoted me $1400 to fix my trunk (trunk doesn’t latch when closed) Kurt got me in the same day for a free diagnosis, ordered the part and fixed the problem for $250! The shop is specialized in Tesla AC repair/replacement so I definitely will come back to Kurt once my AC acts up. 5 stars service!!!

OK, here was our experience. We have a 2019 Chevy Bolt EV with 89,000 miles. Been a fantastic car. Until the A/C went out!!! In Southern Nevada! In July! First took it to the local dealer hoping the EV battery warranty would cover the A/C compressor...WRONG! They want $3,000 to fix. Then I found Curt and the guys at Precision Auto + EV. From their current location, you might not think to expect much. But you would be wrong, these guys know their way around EV's which tend to have complicated cooling systems which have to cool the interior AND the traction battery. Our compressor was fried and they were able to replace it. Curt has set up a nice, modern customer communication portal and is fantastic with getting you current info, feedback and your work order. Very pleasant surprise. They have the equipment needed to service and clear your "Secured High Voltage DTC's" once the service is done. They even went out of their way to locally secure a back-ordered and difficult to find fuse needed to complete our repair. I was highly impressed with these folks and will use them again, definitely. Note: they will be moving to a new location soon, so keep an eye out for that.
