I’ve lived in Chattanooga for 42 years, and for that time I had been using a local garage for general repairs. That owner died an his widow closed shop. We took our old S-10 pickup to a different repair shop and were told our check engine light was always on because of a defective chip in the display but there was nothing wrong with the truck. That didn’t sit well with me. . We still needed a car repair service so this time we contacted Quality. We took them our pickup that had been neglected. Chuck Bateman , the owner, met us at the door and we asked that he go through the truck. He came back the next day and informed us that the dash board lights were on because there were legitimate issues. it’s a 26 yr old truck. A cylinder was not firing, needed spark plugs, the brakes were shot, tires dry rotted, the Air conditioning has a leak in the lines, etc. I authorized those repairs. But here’s where I was impressed. He explained there were some worn out bushings and linkages in the front and the shocks were bad. His opinion was in light of the fact we don’t use it as a daily driver and little as we drive it he said the remaking repair issues are not imperative to be repaired and we could put them off. ; saving for now $1200 more in repairs. We could do it now but decided to wait . Chuck is the OPPOSITE of the typical image of the con man negative stereotype rip off car repair shop. He’s a solid Christian guy who believes in treating people right and being straight about what really needs to be done and what can be delayed we will be back in due course for the next group of repairs as needed. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars.

Chuck is honest and knowledgeable. If you need work done on your car, get his opinion..he has a lot of experience in the job. Talking to Chuck will make it very clear if you are being scammed. Highly recommended.

I brought my truck to Chuck because it was misfiring. Though he was able to give me a likely diagnosis immediately, a mechanic called me back within a few hours to confirm. My truck was fixed that day at a very reasonable rate. I especially appreciate them taking the time to communicate thoroughly when I had questions about what repair options were best. I bought my car, 2006 toyota prius, from them 8 months ago which was a great process and they worked with my price point. recently, the car started having problems so i called them up and they immediately had me bring it in and started working on it. they finished the process extremely fast and explained what they did in an easy to understand way. they’re all very honest people and very hard workers. if you have a prius, this is the place to take it !! added a picture from the day I bought it and a picture from 2 days ago=)
