Toby’s Battery & Auto Electric is the real deal. I brought my truck in thinking I had an alternator issue and they diagnosed it fast, explained exactly what was going on in plain English, and had me back on the road same day. No upselling, no runaround, just honest work at a fair price. What really stood out was how they treated me. The owner Jason and his staff didn’t make me feel like just another customer getting rushed through….they took the time to answer my questions and even showed me options on what to do, so I could make a good decision on what to do to fix the issue. That kind of transparency is hard to find these days. If you’re dealing with battery or electrical issues and want a shop that actually knows what they’re doing and won’t try to squeeze extra money out of you, this is the place. Already told a few friends to go see them. Will be back for sure. Thank you Jason and his crew for getting me back on the road with confidence.

We have had our RV in at Toby’s the first time back in April, I was always very clear we had already spent over $1500 fixing it, replacing starter solenoids ignition switch and more so far and I was on an extreme budget. Well Shawn at Toby’s had it for weeks fixing the starter solenoids, fuel pump etc, it’s over $1000 for that fix. I drive it home and it makes it but a few days later I went to start it for pre trip inspection and it moves 5 feet and shuts off and won’t come on so we get it towed back to Toby’s, Shawn says it’s the starter blown and that needs replaced again I explain again I’m on a budget and just need it fixed enough to drive home to sell, he says it’ll be $150 for the rebuilt starter replacement and about $395 total for that fix. I am currently living in a hotel so I finally get someone to drive down with me to pick it up once he says it’s ready, and they hand me a bill for $597, I explain I was quoted $395 and no one called me to update me of any changes, luckily I use my phone for business so all calls are recorded because Shawn starts telling me that no he told me the right price, I explain I borrowed the amount (as again I’m living in a hotel due to house loss of use so my budget is way tighter than when we started this project) so had he told me that amount I would have tried to get that but I got $400 as he gave me that total of $395. He eventually comes back out and hands me a bill that now says $430, at that point I just went ahead and gave up our dinner money for the day and added it to the $400 and paid it. Well we get to market and Euclid about 4 blocks from the shop and the RV once again dies, WHILE DRIVING. We blocked the intersection, had to pay $1000 for the tow out of the way of traffic, and while sitting there when I called the shop I get told “well the RV has other problems you didn’t want to fix” no you stated it also had a carburetor leak and needed a new carburetor and that YOU DIDNT FIX THOSE, as well as an overall tune up, no offer to come down the few blocks to see if they could help us even just get it out of the road, no offer for resolution. I don’t recommend this shop, after $2000+ dollars spent at TOBYS Battery and Auto Electric, LLC the vehicle does not run as stated in the receipts and invoices, we paid more than we were quoted, and had to pay an additional $1000 for a tow truck from less than a mile from the shop after paying the bill not 10 minutes prior. We are personally perusing further action for reimbursement but I wanted to share our experience. This was horrible. Once we got it home we noticed our turn signals don’t work now (they did before) our door has its window almost broken ready to fall out, that window was the reason I picked this RV…. It’s a beautiful stained glass dolphin and now it looks like someone tried to take it out the rim is ripped off and of course it doesn’t run for me to see if anything else isn’t working now.

The guy I talked to at Toby’s was very communicative and took the time to figure out exactly what I needed- very fair pricing and clearly knowledgable staff

I have a 2k Toyota Tacoma that has had a lot of custom work done and I tried to replace the turn signals only to find the original ones weren't there. They put in a new bulb on both sides. Quick turnaround and very functional. I'll be doing business with them in the future.

Toby's battery was highly recommended to me and I can see why. The guys seem like they are so experienced and straight forward with what needs to be done. As a widow, it's comforting to have service that that you know is being done right and with confidence. It was like stepping back in time when you just knew you could trust the quality of the work and the guys behind it!
