This maybe the first review I’ve ever posted outside a friend. Michael literally saved our car! It is a 2008 Prius that got the read triangle of death…the mechanic said it was the hybrid battery and they couldn’t help. I called around and most people told me it couldn’t be done and wasn’t worth it given the age of the car. Michael’s reviews were outstanding and when we called him he basically said no problem bring it in. This gentleman is crazy smart and knows what he’s doing. Michael doesn’t blindly rip and replace, he spends the time meticulously diagnosing the issue to make sure he fixes exactly what you need. Ours was so far gone it took longer for him to diagnose and get the parts but for a very reasonable price (with a limited guarantee that I don’t think we’ll need because of the quality of his work) and some patience, we drove off with a reliably working car. Thank you Michael! We really enjoyed working with you and appreciate the care you took to make sure we were safely back on the street for years to come.

My mileage on the 2014 Prius was way down. Vermont Hybrid Rehab got me in the very next day to replace the battery. I was back on the road fully charged (up to 65 mpg!) and armed with knowledge and priceless advice (guaranteed) on how to go on. My 102,000 vehicle is better than ever and we're ready to log another 100,000 at a fraction of what the dealer would charge. Michael really knows his stuff, is reliable and has a knack of explaining things that I could understand.

I have a new-to-me 2011 Toyota Highlander Hybrid that recently revealed on the dash the dreaded red triangle of death light. It was an alarming message to receive that basically notifies the driver that there is a problem with a critical high voltage component. It is my first major issue with any hybrid vehicle and Micheal at VT Hybrid Rehab was very patient explaining how the systems work in general before he diagnosed my specific problem. Several other shops declined to help me because they were not sufficiently trained with electrical systems (a Toyota dealership promised that the expense would be tremendous and it would be best to see the sales team for a new car!) whereas Michael not only quickly fixed the issue, he worked with me to keep the costs as low as possible. I am very appreciative of his thorough knowledge of the hybrid systems and his client-first ethos!
