Alphawerks Window Tint and Paint Protection

I was searching for local company that does XPEL PPF and window tint and read all the amazing reviews about Alphawerks. called to get more details on the type of PPF and estimated timeline and cost. Once I received confirmation on the model Y delivery date, I paid my deposits and arrange the date to drop my car. I am very impressed with workmanship and attention to detail which Dave and his team. I dropped on Monday and car was ready by Thursday afternoon for full PPF, glass window tint except roof, ceramics coating on the PPF and car interiors. I am very happy with the final product and this is expensive but important investment to protect the car and preserve the paintwork and interior

Got a 2-stage paint correction and ceramic coat. Dave was honest about what could/couldn't be done with the paint on my vintage Lexus, which saved me thousands. Final quote was slightly more than another shop in the area, but I appreciated his honesty so I chose Alphawerks anyway. Communication was great, he sent progress photos along the way. I was on a tight timeline with a flight at the end of the week, and he got it done with time to spare. The car looks stunning, I've never seen a 30 year old car shine the way mine does now. No regrets.

I’ve been coming here since 2021! I started with a full wrap, tint and exoshield on my Jeep gladiator that goes everywhere (from the Rubicon trail to Moab). Dave did such a pro job on that (even wrapping the bolts) — he got himself a lifetime customer. I’ve seen done exoshield on 2 other vehicles, and PPF & tints on a Porsche Taycan and BMW X3 m40i. I’ve moved around in the Bay Area but still come here because I know that the standard here is excellence. Lots of shops try and get by with OK quality and stuff slips through the crack, they don’t stand by their work — not here. I think prices are fair — probably can find cheaper shops, but you get value for your $ here — a pro job and a company that will stand by their work.

I originally purchased XPEL window tint through the Tesla app, which recommended several shops in the South Bay. After comparing a few options, I decided to go with Alphawerks—and I’m really glad I did. I dropped off my car on a Monday, and Dave (the owner) walked me through everything, including California tint regulations and VLT levels. We quickly finalized the full window tint setup. Since I needed the car back the same day, they were able to complete the tint very efficiently, and the quality turned out excellent. When I picked up the car, I also asked about full-body XPEL Stealth PPF and coating. Dave took the time to clearly explain the differences between edge-wrapped and non-wrapped installations, which really helped me understand the value. I decided to move forward with a full-body XPEL Stealth PPF with full edge coverage, along with the coating. I dropped the car off the following Monday, and the process took about a week—I picked it up the next Monday. The timing worked out perfectly since I had travel planned, so it didn’t affect my daily commute at all. The final result looks amazing—I absolutely love how the Quicksilver looks with the matte (Stealth) finish. It really elevates the whole car. While Alphawerks may be priced higher than some random shops, the quality of the work, materials (XPEL), and warranty make it a worthwhile investment. Especially in California, where rock chips are common, it gives real peace of mind. Being Tesla-recommended and XPEL-certified also made me feel much more confident in my decision. This is my first Tesla, and I’m really happy I chose Alphawerks for both the tint and PPF. Dave and the team were professional, patient, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. I’ll definitely be coming back for future maintenance and warranty support. Highly recommend if you want the job done right.

"Perfectionist". It is the word that comes to mind reflecting on my experience with Dave and Alphawerks. When searching for wrap shops for my new X, I was a little skeptical that a shop could have a "5.0" in Google reviews. But once I got in touch with Dave - the owner - I immediately understood why. Dave was extremely responsive from first contact and at no point did I feel remotely pressured. He helped talk me through options via text and phone before I decided to take my car to him immediately after delivery. When I got there, I was torn on which style wrap I should use: a stealth/matte or clear finish. I said, "man, I wish I could see what each would look like", upon which Dave cut out sheets of the different wrap styles and placed them on the car in different spots to help me make a more informed decision. He appreciated how big of a decision this is, and he gave me the information, time, and space to make the right call. His pricing was really fair as well. In addition to the PPF wrap and ceramic coating, I did UV windowing tinting after he offered compelling pricing for that added work. From there, Dave and his team got to work. He gave me timing expectations that he committed to. When it was time for pick up, I came to learn that one of his team members got sick, and Dave himself ended up working deep into the night to not slip on the promised date. And when I came to pick up the car, oh man, it was perfect. Like, literally perfect. I couldn't see any edges or imperfections whatsoever even upon my closest inspection. And when he was telling me about the project, he made clear to point out nearly microscopic imperfections from the factory that I should be aware of and ask Tesla to fix. There is no way he would have seen those if he was not really taking the time to do the job right. Dave is one of those guys who is running his business for the right reasons: he loves the craft. He treated my car and project as if they were his own. This is sooo incredibly rare these days, and is why I'm joining the Google Review chorus of the Dave + Alphawerks "5.0" fan club.
