Appearance Solutions | Paint Protection Film (PPF) | Ceramic Coatings | Window Tinting

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic work! I cannot recommend Appearance Solutions enough! I brought my car in for a front windshield PPF and to replace the existing PPF on the entire front end. I really appreciate the results and post care they added to the vehicle; makes a huge difference. Mike, the owner, was absolutely fantastic to deal with from start to finish. He answered all my questions and gave great recommendations based on his experience and insight. I will definitely go back for any PPF and tint work in the future.

Additional information regarding model x plaid Update – March 4, 2026 Mike, I am documenting the recent situation and considering filing a harassment complaint based on recent events. It is extremely unprofessional for a business owner to contact other shops asking about my vehicle after being confronted about the quality of the work performed. I was informed that you even showed up unannounced to another business asking about me and my vehicle. Money has never been the issue, and I have communicated that several times. My only expectation was high-quality workmanship. When concerns were brought to your attention — specifically the air bubble on the roof and the issue on the front bumper — I returned to your shop twice, but it felt as though addressing these concerns was treated as an inconvenience. Because the issues were not properly resolved and no meaningful solution was offered, I chose to have another shop correct the work. My review reflects my own experience and observations. No one encouraged me to write it — it was based solely on how the situation was handled. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter. As a business owner, professionalism and accountability are important. I encourage you to handle situations like this more responsibly moving forward.

Disappointed Experience My unbiased recommendation: • Ultimate Film Solutions (very close by) Please take my advice — you will not be disappointed. I’m writing this to share my honest experience with Appearance Solutions in Sacramento. The overall impression felt more like a “finish and send off” process rather than a shop focused on long-term client satisfaction and precision craftsmanship. In my experience, there was little follow-up or post-installation support. Many other shops I’ve worked with check in after installation and even offer complimentary inspections to make sure everything still looks perfect. After having my Tesla Model X Plaid fully wrapped (XPEL Stealth PPF, XPEL Fusion Plus ceramic coating, exterior glass coating, wheel coating, and full windshield tint), I expected a seamless, high-end result. Unfortunately, the finished product did not meet the level of craftsmanship I’ve seen from other reputable shops. As a car enthusiast, the details matter — and they were noticeable right away. There are visible PPF lines that are not fully flush or properly tucked. In several areas it appears pre-cut plotter film was used, leaving exposed edges rather than wrapped panels. Over time those edges collect dirt and make the lines even more visible, which gives the vehicle an unfinished look. Mirror caps, front bumper edges, and several trim areas lack the seamless finish you would expect from a full vehicle PPF installation. Other shops like Ultimate Film Solutions take the extra time to remove headlights, taillights, trim pieces, and emblems to ensure everything is wrapped cleanly and tucked properly — where you genuinely cannot tell the vehicle has PPF installed. When you are paying for premium protection on a premium vehicle, attention to detail matters. I brought my concerns to the shop regarding issues such as an air bubble on the roof and another concern on the front bumper and returned twice to address them. Unfortunately, it felt like resolving these issues was treated more as an inconvenience rather than something they wanted to make right. Because the issues were not properly resolved and no meaningful solution was offered, I ultimately chose to have another shop correct the work. After later having another vehicle protected by Dan at Ultimate Film Solutions, the difference in quality was honestly night and day. Their work is seamless — edges are tucked, panels are properly wrapped, and the final result looks completely factory. You genuinely cannot tell the vehicle has PPF installed. Since then, I have had two additional vehicles protected by Ultimate Film Solutions because the quality of their work speaks for itself. Money has never been the issue for me. If higher-quality work had been clearly explained or quoted upfront, I would have gladly paid more. My expectation for a full vehicle PPF install was simply high-level craftsmanship and transparency.

TL;DR: stop searching for shops and take your car to Appearance Solutions- they do incredibly great work! Appearance Solutions was recommended to me from another Tesla owner and after doing extensive research on other companies in California and Ohio, I ended up going with AS and I’m so glad I did. I had them do xpel ceramic tint all over and it couldn’t have turned out better! When I initially came in for the tinting, one of Mike’s staff members found a crack in the rear glass upon pre-work inspection. I’m glad he did because it was still under warranty with Tesla and it was replaced the rear glass for free. Had he not found it, I likely wouldn’t have seen if before the warranty expired. These guys do top notch work and you’ll be glad you brought your car here. Mike is responsive, flexible, professional, and friendly. I couldn’t be happier with the work they did!

Brought my Porsche 911 GT3 over to Mike at AS for a full Xpel wrap. Took about 3 weeks for the whole job and boy I am so happy with the finished product! It was worth the wait. All my expectations were met and the quality of their work and their attention to detail is hands down the best! Mike sent me pictures of my car every week just to keep me updated of the progress. He is very professional and spot on. I’m a very happy on how the Xpel wrap turned out. Thank you appearance solutions! Will definitely recommend to friends and come back for future projects.
