Good honest people who show respect to law enforcement and first responders which is a big deal to me and they say it's very hard to find an honest mechanic, well I did in 17th street Automotive. Genuinely good people and hospitality on another level. Billy, the owner is such a nice person.

I really like how they are thorough in explaining what is going on with your car. One employee (Josh) said they would rather tell you in person, because it can be long and boring talking on the phone! 😁. They are honest in the length of time it would take to repair your vehicle and the cost.

Josh, I have to say that he was great oh my God communication making sure everything was coordinated with the person. I purchased the vehicle with getting the job done within two days when he said it will be four days. Oh my God flawless this place if you have anything to do with your car, please check this place out First. This is a great family place owned. I was dealing with an cold start issue with my 2004 mercury mountaineer.I had been to three other shops prior to going to 17th street garage with no success, the funny thing is a customer at one of the other garage told me about 17th st garage. I was hasity at first because I stay in chesapeake and 17th is all the way down Virginia beach. Took my truck in and was told that they would do a full diagnostic, which at first I didn't want. I just wanted my starting issues resolved. The service writer who worked at the service desk was very patient and explaine why I need this. I left my truck and was contacted two days later by email with a full detail report card on my truck. It was a detail list of things that were ok and things that I should be concerrd about. I was never pushed to have any thing done but, was given the option to decide what I wanted to have done. I even was given the opportunity to talk to th tech who was working on my truck. He was great he informed me on things I could do to help address my starting issues. And the work that I chose to do on the report was done and boy was I satisfied. The drive of 40 miles was well worth it.
