I can't say enough good things about Advantage Electric, especially the 2 techs that came to help me (Dillon and Karl). I originally tried to do some electrical work myself and ended up creating more issues when attempting to replace an old kitchen outlet. They could have easily criticized my DIY repair, but instead they patiently explained what had gone wrong and how they were going to fix it. Their expertise and willingness to answer all of my questions gave me a lot of confidence in what they were doing. After the initial repair, another issue came up. Rather than making excuses, they came back promptly, diagnosed the problem, and made it right. They even refunded the cost of a part they had used, fixed the issue better than before, and went above and beyond by replacing another outlet that wasn't even part of the original job. On top of that, they found and corrected another electrical issue that had been left behind by a previous contractor. They spent the extra time and effort to ensure everything was done properly instead of taking shortcuts. While they were there, I mentioned a few other electrical concerns around the house. They took the time to look everything over, gave me honest recommendations, and provided quotes for future projects without any pressure. Knowing that I have this trusted team I can call when I'm ready to move forward, gives me real peace of mind. What impressed me most was their professionalism, honesty, and commitment to doing quality work. I never felt rushed, and they made sure I understood everything throughout the process. By the end of the job, I felt genuinely listened to and well taken care of. The value wasn't just in fixing the electrical problems, it was in knowing the work was done correctly and safely. If you're looking for electricians who are knowledgeable, trustworthy, and truly stand behind their work, I highly recommend Advantage Electric. And I have to say, that Dillon and Karl deserve special recognition for providing me this exceptional service! They went above and beyond in my opinion and exceeded my expectations in every way. They will be the first people I call when I'm ready to tackle future electrical projects. Thanks for that exceptional service!

Everyone I spoke with at Advantage Electric was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They did a great job upgrading our electrical panel and installing a new receptacle for our sump pump. I highly recommend them!

A+ from start to finish. Excellent communication from the entire team. We knew what we wanted (a hot tub), which we knew would require a panel upgrade of some kind, but we didn't know exactly what the approach/solution would be. We also have a tight backyard and were a little uncertain of where the tub would go and how to get power to it. Working with the team from Advantage, I was able to talk through our thoughts and while at first we were going to place the tub further out into the yard, we ultimately realized it would work better closer to our existing deck / driveway space. The Advantage team had already provided a solution to maintain our in-house panel that was still in good shape and turn that into a 100a sub-panel, adding a new 200amp panel on the outside along with the hot tub disconnect (which they labeled clearly and showed me how to use after installation). The entire process was fairly speedy (as fast as any project involving multiple steps/contractors can be) and I never felt like I was waiting on Advantage. We ended up having them run power up under the joist of our existing deck and then down the middle deck support beam (their suggestion) and using flexible piping into the side of the hot tub (initially they had suggested stubbing up a pipe in concrete to avoid visibility, but once we determined we wanted a floating deck and a little more flexibility on final placement, their team recommended the conduit down the support beam with the flexible conduit coming off that and into the tub. They secured it down to our new deck and tested everything before they wrapped up. The best part? They provided an initial estimate, which was only what we needed and no fluff (and involved using a trenching machine to put wire into the ground), and once we pivoted to a different plan that did not involve burying wire, they informed me the price would drop by $2,000. On top of that, they were already a significant factor below other estimates we had gotten from other local electricians (who seemed genuinely nice but perhaps more focused on how intricate or involved of a project they could do). The Advantage team (starting with Brooks, but also Jake and the other guys whose names I wish I remembered) were all incredibly knowledgeable and professional and never made me feel dumb or like my questions and requests were unreasonable. They worked with me every step of the way and I know they're the only electricians I need to call in the future for literally anything electrical. Our project is now almost complete, but I could not wait to leave a positive review for this team and would highly recommend their service to anyone in the Twin Cities (I live in Saint Paul, so rest assured they service this area). OH and I almost forgot to mention that they helped guide me through filing for the Xcel Energy panel upgrade rebate program (as of 2026, that nets you $1,500 back from the utility) and that check has already come back and cleared (shout out to Anna as well as Mary holding down the office/admin work, I believe). So, from the initial estimate to the final price, we basically saved $3,500 off the total price. An expensive project (made more expensive by the latest electricians' code mandating an outdoor disconnect for firefighters to shut off your electricity), but way less than we would have paid with other companies. No cut corners (except where it made sense and saved us money!) -- just great service. I could go on but honestly just stop reading and hit them up for any electrical needs you have.

This team was incredible. Friendly, professional, and even had a good local feel. This was a company that I would recommend to my family, friends, and coworkers if they ever have an electrical need. We had Dillon do work for us and he did a tremendous job! He not only got the work done that we needed, but he also educated us on what our future options are for optional improvements. The communication and detail from their dispatch team was clear, concise, and informative. This is a really solid company.

I recently hired Advantage Electric to complete an electrical panel upgrade and install a dedicated outlet in our basement, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The crew was prompt, courteous, and highly professional from start to finish. They took the time to walk me through each step of the process and made sure I understood all the work being done. Their bid was very competitive, and they went above and beyond by completing the Xcel rebate paperwork for me, making the submission process incredibly easy. The quality of their work was outstanding, and the entire project was handled smoothly and efficiently. All in all, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend Advantage Electric to anyone in need of electrical services.
