Ankeny Auto Electric

Rebuild starters and generators for vintage cars and tractors. Including 6 Volt.

These guys are the best Alternator Starter builders in Iowa! Been using their services for 30 years! Custom builds as well. Need a higher amp Alternator for you ride? They can do it! I've made hundreds of purchases from them, (for my auto repair business in Des Moines) and had no complaints. Quality job always!

After taking my electrical problem with the windowa to three of the best shops in town I had my doubts with John. I know some guys do nuts and bolts, some mechanical and a few electrical. John estimated me did his best, but was only half successful so he started to write the bill. Then he took another look and called me totell me it was 100% fixed; no extra charge! Very happy! Quick turn around. Excellent customer service. Fantastic pricing. There's a reason these guys have 5 star reviews across the board. Check them out!

Great guys! Professional and technically knowledgeable about alternators. They want to find a solution for you, not just take your money. I highly recommend them for any work you need done in their realm of services. They deserve every penny for the work they perform!
