They charged me $800 to clean a 5HP motor, replace the bearings and replace one capacitor, I could have bought a brand new Baldor 5HP electric motor for that price.

Wanted to get brushes and bearings to repair 3 roof vent motors. Told should just get new motors, since parts would be $30 each motors and the brushes would be $20. Silly. Brushes are $10, bearing are $10, but no local places seem interested in repairing things. Only selling new. If this is buy American we are all going to struggle from now on. May just be a sign of the times. Had local service company come out and they are having difficulty locating replacement motors. I guess I will go to Eastern Idaho as planned for bearings and order brushes on eBay. Not only company like this in Boise. Also May and co.
