Clayton Electric Motor Repair

Beware, this was the worst sticker shock I have ever had in my life. I have had this exact motor rebuilt in the past for less than 500, I was charged 3,113.00 dollars for rebuilding a 7.5 hp electric motor. The paint looked horrible when finished. I’m still raging at how bad that I was overcharged. Get a price in writing before doing business with them.

From: Brian King, Owner, King Machine Shop, Burlington On Monday, August 25, the motor in the jet washer died. This is a piece of equipment that is used multiple times every day at my business. I called Clayton Electric Motor Repair & spoke with Jay. Jay told me to bring the motor to him and that he could fix it. The motor was delivered to Jay at 1:30pm & he had it ready at 4:00pm for pickup. I picked it up, put it back together, & the jet washer was back in service when i opened for business on Tuesday morning. I cannot say enough great things about Jay & Clayton Electric Motor Repair. Jay is a really great guy. He knew the criticality of this situation & acted accordingly. How refreshing to see such wonderful customer service! I've used Clayton Electric Motor Repair numerous times in the past for repair work on the motors of several woodworking machines for my custom cabinet shop. Never been disappointed. Just today I had a motor go down in the middle of a huge production run. I dropped the motor off at their door at 7:00 and by 4:00 they had new bearings installed and the motor cleaned and checked. I just knew I'd be down for days but these guys had me back in business in a matter of hours! Excellent work at a fair price. First rate company right here!
