D And D Auto Electric

D and D rebuilt my old alternator with very reasonable prices and exceptionally fast turnaround. He also took the time to test the various parts while I waited to get me the most accurate quote possible, and talked me through the actual failures when I came in to pick it up. Very helpful, friendly service, cannot recommend enough. Rebuilding gets you the same thing you get from the parts store (remanufactured alternator) but at a lower cost and while supporting local business.

This shop is AMAZING!! I have an old 64 1/2 Mustang and attempted multiple times to find a replacement generator for it. I couldn’t find anyone in Colorado Springs that had experience with generators. So glad a fellow Mustang friend recommended this shop. As soon as I walked in I KNEW he understood me. Alternators and generators line the walls. I had ordered a generator twice from BNR parts and both times the configuration was wrong. This shop replaced the incorrect faceplate on the generator and replaced the incorrect fan blades, which I didn’t know was bigger than the 64 1/2 Mustang’s blades. He had all the parts for the front housing in shop, and I told him to keep the other parts. Incredible turnaround time too! 2 hours!! He also has a mechanic shop in the back for all of your other automotive needs - motor, electrical, framing, etc. Very feasibly priced and superb customer service. My new go to shop. Can't find guys like him around - rare bus alternator they don't make anymore, he couldn't fix it but he tried all day and is really nice. We are going to problem solve to find solution! Most people don't give you that much attention who are that busy.

Doug is a wizard. Absolutely gorgeous rebuilds, he's done four alternators for my partner and I over the years and I dropped my starter with him this week. Also just a genuinely nice guy. It's a total pleasure doing business here.

Dropped off my Custom Alternator (its for an old Ambulance so I can't get a new one that fits the same anymore) for repair. They tested it out and are going to look at a few things for me. All around impressed at the questions, about diagnosing and use, and care they have already shown me. Very glad to have chosen this place for my needs.
