Electric Ave Thousand Oaks

I truly wish I could give this place more than five stars. I had the best experience. I highly recommend! I know I will be going back to Electric Ave and now hopefully never going back to the Tesla shop. I had an issue with my door that they were able to look at and fix on a Friday afternoon with no appointment. Not pawn me off to a body shop, another place, or schedule another appointment but actually try and solve my problem before the weekend. Who knew there were places and people like that still? So refreshing and the customer service and friendliness was top notch. Big Thank you to Nathan for making this such a great experience! I now want to get all EVs or hybrids so I could take my cars only there from now on. Extremely trustworthy and made my experience comfortable from beginning to end.

Spoke to Nathan after I heard some rattling in my Model Y. He was great at communicating and letting me swing by quickly to verify the cause. He was upfront and transparent about work done and parts that would be needed. I appreciated his honesty and recommendations, would highly recommend Electric Ave and working with Nathan!

Took my Tesla S in for some suspension issues. Nathan has been great to work with. Fair price estimated for repair. Was planning to replace some parts. On the day of repair, Nathan calls me back and says the issue was just that I needed to torque down a couple of fasteners on the control arm. Good communication and troubleshooting. Fair price estimated. Trustworthy. Nathan's been great to work with and I can strongly recommend him and Electric Ave.

Nathan and the team were extremely nice both times I've been here. However, their mechanic is either shady or inexperienced. I brought my car in to have repairs done as this was one of the only local shops who would work on hybrid vehicles and who could look at my car that week. They found the issue which was exhaust related and fix it, all is good. A couple days later the check engine light comes back on and I bring it back in. Apparently the part they fixed wasn't the problem and it was another part that needed to be repaired. Before going back I started asking everyone I knew about this because I felt like I was getting ripped off. Come to find out, California requires all dealerships to include extended warranty's on exhaust related problems, some up to 120k miles (my car has 70k miles). I bring my car into the local dealer and they say the part that needs repairing is covered for free. However, since Electric Ave had replaced the first part of the exhaust system, it voided the warranty... so I had to pay for that same part again while the dealership covered the second part. I have a strong feeling Electric Ave knew what they were doing by replacing the wrong part and not telling me about California's warranty coverage. This should be basic knowledge if you work in the car service industry.

Nathan at Electric Ave was very friendly and knowledgeable about my hybrid Altima. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly and had my Altima Hybrid back on the road in no time. I highly recommend Nathan and his team for any of your hybrid/electric car problems. Thanks again Nathan!! Jimmy Paulsen
