REM was very professional, but also personal and made my breakdown their problem. Troy and Tyler stayed in contact with me in every phase of troubleshooting, and followed up after the fix. They service motors, water pumps, and were able to make in house modifications that other companies have to outsource. This kept cost down and increased efficiency. First of all, I never leave reviews for anything, but I feel like I need to defend this company a little bit. Rockford Electric Equipment has been an invaluable resource for those of us in the electrical industry. We are extremely fortunate to have them in Rockford. We have taken numerous obsolete electric motors to Bernie over the years, and he has almost always been able to repair, rewind, or replace whatever we have. There are very few niche craftsmen left in any industry, and I know my customers are very thankful for the services Rockford Electric Equipment can provide.

I had a 2 speed spa motor that I asked them to test and quote me a repair price because I thought it might be a supply problem and also wasn't too sure if I wanted to put any real money into it. The lady said to bring it in and they would diagnose it for free and call about the repair price. They called and said that they fixed it. I asked why they didn't call me with the price first? She just responded that it would be 50 dollars.. I figured that was fair... the guy told me that the windings were good but that a wire might have been rubbing and that when he put it together it worked. I installed it and it had the same problem. I called and asked for my money back because there was obviously nothing wrong with the motor and they should have figured that out prior to taking it apart. They denied saying they would diagnose for free, I explained that I have a call recording system and I could play back the conversation. He told me to have my lawyer call him and hung up.... I had planned on returning until I was treated so rudely if anyone would like to listen to the conversations I would be more than happy to share as I was never the least bit rude to them.
