The crew was respectful of the property and cleaned up leftover materials every evening. I appreciated that they reviewed inverter placement options before drilling into the wall because we wanted to preserve storage space inside the garage. The permitting process took longer than planned, although they continued updating us instead of disappearing after signing the contract. Since activation, the photovoltaic system has produced close to the estimated output and the app has been easy for us to track each day. It was a fairly smooth experience overall and the final installation looks clean from both the street and backyard.

The staff helped us convert an older property into a grid tied solar setup with battery storage and they explained every stage without trying to oversell upgrades we didnt really need. Our roof angle is not ideal, but they adjusted the panel layout to improve production during the afternoon hours. Installation moved at a steady pace and the electricians appeared organized while connecting the inverter and breaker panel. One thing I noticed was how carefully they labeled everything for future maintenance which I appreciated later when reviewing the system manual. The project manager checked in several times during the week and followed up after the city inspection passed. Since turning the system on, we have seen a pretty steady drop in utility costs and the online monitoring has been reliable. Overall it felt like a capable and experienced team handling the work.

Their quote was not the cheapest option, but it included better panel warranties and a cleaner inverter setup than some competitors offered. My home has a tile roof, so I was concerned about leaks or broken sections, however the installers seemed experienced working with that type of material. They completed the mounting process carefully and inspected everything before leaving each afternoon. During permitting there were a few delays with the county office, though the office staff stayed in contact and answered emails quickly. The finished system looks neat from the street and the monitoring software has been simple to use. Electric usage from the grid has gone down noticeably over the last two billing cycles. I think people looking for a straightforward solar contractor would probably feel comfortable working with them.

Quick service for being a time of year and cheaper than other options. One area of note was that when they did the install, they hit one of my power wires inside my house. It tripped a breaker and happened when they were installing. The installers were not able to find the issue but I had to call out an electrician to the house to troubleshoot this and found that a screw had gone through the outside of the house where the Power Wall is. This was causing the short. The electrician was able to run a new string of wire to bypass the fault but Tesla did not offer any support on this and I had to pay out of pocket. I could have asked for more follow up on this to see if I could get reimbursed but it was more trouble then what it was worth since there support is not the best and difficult to work with or change any settings. I wanted to make sure that my system was up by Dec 31 to ensure that I could get the Federal Tax Credits. Long story short... Quick to install, reasonable price, and needs work with all levels of customer service.

I have had a great experience with the planning team, install team but over a year after my installation and I’m still not connected to the grid or aloud to go live. Still waiting on upgrade from PG&E. It was scheduled several times this winter but put us off due to weather systems in the East. Then belittled us for inquiring about when they may get back to it. Really got the feeling that PG&E has zero concern for their individual customers… if it wasn’t for PG&E this could have easily been a 5 star review but since I haven't been able to experience the full capability of the system I can’t give a accurate review.
