After submitting a service ticket for my 2023 Tesla Model Y, I was extremely disappointed with the response from the Birmingham Tesla service location. The issue was not a routine flat tire or cosmetic wheel damage. The front passenger-side wheel split into two pieces while driving under normal conditions on a freshly paved road. There was no pothole, no collision, and no object strike. The vehicle has approximately 78,000 miles on it, but a wheel separating in this manner is a serious safety concern and, in my opinion, warrants more than a simple instruction to pay for a wheel and tire replacement. When I asked to speak with a service manager or general manager, the person I spoke with continued arguing that Tesla was not going to do anything to help and showed no meaningful interest in understanding why the failure occurred. The call ended with him hanging up on me. This was especially disappointing because we have purchased other Teslas, and our previous experiences with Tesla have been much better. I then contacted the Brentwood Tesla location, where we took delivery of this vehicle and our other Teslas. The difference in professionalism was immediate. The gentleman I spoke with there took the issue seriously, escalated the matter to his manager, and is working to have the case reviewed by Field Engineering for a full diagnostic and evaluation of why the wheel failed. This is not about avoiding the cost of a repair. This is about a catastrophic wheel failure and the safety of continuing to drive the vehicle on the remaining three wheels. If Tesla determines this was caused by a manufacturing defect or safety-related failure, the issue needs to be handled accordingly. If Tesla does not conduct a proper review, I intend to escalate the matter to NHTSA. Based on my experience, the Birmingham location failed to treat a serious safety concern with the professionalism, urgency, and care it deserved.

My screen was intermittently going blank and I had this problem. Diagnosed at another Tesla service center in Georgia where I travel to work. They recommended getting the car computer replaced and that Birmingham service center would be able to see their diagnostic. When I took this to the Birmingham service center they did not review the records, did not listen to me; performed a hard reset of the screen and said issue was resolved Two weeks later I was driving on the freeway and the screen went blank at 70 miles and hour, Unfortunate that they don’t even listen to their own colleagues and take short cuts now I am having to drive to Atlanta to get it fixed. 0/5

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently brought my 2024 Model X into the Tesla Birmingham Service Center for routine maintenance checks and software updates. The service team was highly professional, and the initial intake process through the app was incredibly efficient. They handled the maintenance thoroughly and ensured all the latest updates were successfully installed without any glitches. They even went above and beyond by setting me up with an additional appointment for parts that were not in stock, which I really appreciated. The only downside was that I had to sit there and wait all day long while the vehicle was being worked on. However, despite the long wait, the car is running perfectly, and I appreciate the technicians' attention to detail. I will definitely be returning to this location for future service needs!

Great experience for warranty work on my 26 Model Y. I was initially going to wait, however the SC determined it would take until the next day for completion. I was offered uber credits, but due to where I live it’s not the most practical. Received a very nice, clean Model S as a loaner. When work was completed I did a self service drop off of the loaner after hours and picked my car back up. Having a SC in Birmingham is a huge advantage over the other major EV’s that don’t have a physical presence here!

I scheduled an appointment to have new tires put on my Tesla Model Y. My appointment was 10:30. I got there at 10:20. The gentleman at the service desk (Grant, was his name I believe) told me it would take an hour. The app said should be completed by 11:30. At 11:45 the app was still showing "Ready for Service" so I went to the service desk and asked for an update. At this point I learned that they had not even started on my vehicle. The lady at the desk asked a technician who was standing there, "Can you go put these tires on really quick?" He said, okay and walked away. I waited another hour and went back to the service desk. . My vehicle was not finished until after 1:00 p.m. I was there for almost 3 hours to get a set of tires put on. In the future I will consider getting my tires elsewhere.
