My Model 3 stopped charging at home after a software update. It still Supercharges fine and charges on another Tesla’s charger, so I requested service through the Tesla app and asked for a hands-on diagnosis. Everything was handled remotely. I was told in writing that there was “no evidence of any failure in the Charge Port ECU” and that the alert could be “safely disregarded” — then handed a $1,132 estimate to replace that same ECU and the charge port. When I asked for an in-person diagnosis to confirm the actual cause, I was told they wouldn’t troubleshoot the car unless I first approved the repair. I don’t think a customer should be asked to pre-approve to replace a part the service team said in writing had not failed — or be unable to get a straight, in-person diagnosis without first committing to a four-figure repair. Everything was done through the app; no one ever physically looked at the car. I’ve kept all the documentation. Their manager Warren is dishonest. Before you approve an estimate generated by this shop, please do your due diligence and look up the number of vehicles affected after software updates. They may corrupt ECU’s and they need to be reflashed to address the issue(which they will charge for even though their software update creates the problem).

I went to this location on 6/26/2026 to get TSB's done, install new tires, and an alignment. TSB's were complete but the tires and alignment were not performed. The tires were slightly wider 275 instead of 265 on the front and 305 instead of 295 in the rear. Very disappointing but understand their machines are locked to OEM settings.

Despite having done so at several Tesla service centers around the country, I was told in-person at Norfolk that their policy is to not sell any parts to customers besides cabin air filters. Part is unrestricted, and on-site. Options are to have it installed at first appointment in 14 days or order through the app and have it shipped to receive in 7 days. No, I need it today. Thank you for going out of your way to cause difficulties for your most loyal customers.

They charged me for tire rotation but none of the wheels were removed or even touched. The original dust was not disturbed on any of the hub caps. I complained, they hang up on my despite of the video evidence that I shared with them.

Service performance **** Service availability *** Customer service communication via app *** Customer service communication via phone ** Customer service in person *** Limited hours and hard to reach them but they did a good job when they did the work and the cost was reasonable for a dealership.
