Imagine you buy a brand new Tesla, and your seats start peeling within a year and it’s deemed cosmetic and not covered by warranty… I brought my Model Y to this service center for a seat upholstery issue where the material is peeling at the center seam. The vehicle is only two years old, and the affected area is not on a high-wear bolster or entry/exit point where normal wear and tear would be expected. What disappointed me most was not the warranty decision itself. but the lack of effort to properly evaluate the concern. The service manager, Chris, reviewed the issue on a tablet and informed me it was not covered under warranty without ever coming to the vehicle to inspect the seat in person. As a customer, it’s difficult to understand how a determination can be made about the cause of a defect without physically examining it. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was told I would need to wait approximately two hours because Javier was at lunch. However, while I was waiting, I observed employees speaking with him in the office directly in front of me. Despite having a scheduled service appointment, I was not given an opportunity to show the issue to the service manager or discuss the concern directly to show why it’s a material defect and not wear and tear. I understand that not every repair will be covered under warranty. What I do expect is a thorough inspection and a clear explanation of why Tesla believes a seat material failure located at a seam is normal wear rather than a defect in materials or workmanship. At this point, my frustration is less about the seat itself and more about the fact that the concern was dismissed at the service center and via email when communicating. And I have still not provide any reasoning as to how it’s classified as wear and tear vs material defect. I hope someone from Tesla sees this and takes another look at both the warranty determination the customer experience surrounding it.

Tesla was in the dog house with me for a few weeks but today’s visit made everything all right. I was helped by Christian this morning and he was the epitome of excellence! Not only did he fix my none working driver’s seat since delivery but was also able to get the appointment to resolve the three dimples my car was delivered with. Purchasing the car and delivery was a nightmare but service and resolving the issue has been stress free because of this place! Keep up the great work and thanks for the help! So appreciate you guys!

I had an amazing experience at the Tesla Service Center thanks to Javier. From the moment I arrived, he was extremely kind, respectful, professional, and genuinely helpful. He took the time to answer all my questions, kept me informed throughout the process, and made sure I felt taken care of the entire time. This was honestly some of the best customer service I have ever received from Tesla. Javier went above and beyond to make the experience smooth and stress-free. Employees like him are the reason customers continue to come back. Truly appreciate the outstanding service and professionalism. Thank you again, Javier!

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience at this service center. Booked an appointment for a simple CCS1 adapter upgrade that should have taken just 15 minutes according to the estimate. On arrival, the representative said the car would need to be left with them until late the next day! Not acceptable given the expectations set by the estimate. The agent was apologetic about their lack of staff to do the work, but the Tesla app should not be scheduling appointments that they can't keep. Also, the access situation is horrible at this location. It's accessed via narrow alleyways and has very limited parking. There's no clear one-way system or easy ways to turn around, so when two vehicles enter from opposite directions there's nowhere to go. I witnessed just such a situation that was starting to escalate to road rage due to the lousy access infrastructure. To cap it all, some idiot left a low sawhorse sticking out into the alleyway, just around a blind corner. Now I have a scratched passenger door to deal with. In short, avoid this location. Choose another or use mobile service if you can, even if that means you have to wait a few days for an appointment.

I had such an amazing experience with the Tesla Service team in west LA! I showed up without an appointment, and even though they were super busy, they still took me in and fixed my issue the same day. As a woman who was honestly a little freaked out by the issue, it sounded like my tire was about to fall off, Erik and Nestor made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. He explained everything clearly and treated me with so much respect and kindness. The whole team was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond — I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you, Tesla Service (and especially Eric and Nestor) for turning a stressful situation into such a positive experience!
