First Landing Auto Care at Thoroughgood

One of the few places I trust with my vehicles. The service advisors are always helpful, the mechanics produce quality work, and the ability to pick up after hours makes it easy to swing by after work and pick up once work is complete.

I have been going to this location for more than the past 5+ years. They are always honest and do such a detailed job with checking the car thoroughly and including photos in their report for the inspection. I truly appreciate their level of service and even had other work done with them when an issue came up a couple years ago, because I trusted their honesty and never trying to oversell me. I even used their concierge service for a drop off and pick-up when I did my inspection this year- very pleasant/friendly driver and it was super convenient! Highly recommend!

I took my wife’s car to get it inspected to the same place I’ve used for years. Her car was rejected because it needed brake work done and the quote was $7-$800. We started price shopping and called First Landing and they gave us a lower price so we took it there. They called my wife and said for it to pass, we would need additional work done which brought our bill up to over &1,900. For some reason we trusted them and told them to do the work. We were called to come pick it up. After driving for about 1.5-2 miles, the car started malfunctioning and we returned it right then. We were called the next day and were told the transmission went out. Never had this problem before but once they worked on it, that developed while in their shop. We were told they could take care of it for around $7,000. Had to have the car towed from their shop by AAA and when I met the driver out there, I noticed the antenna had been broken off and they didn’t say a word. The story goes on but I think you get the point. Our car never had a transmission problem before it was worked on by First Landing, now it does. Coincidence?? Maybe, but now we do have a nice shiny new inspection sticker and our car won’t run unless we put another $7,000 towards it on top of already giving them $2,000. We could have paid the first place i took it the $700-800 to repair the brakes and would have been much better off. So I would suggest to stay away from First Landing and find another shop. We would have been much better off if we had. They took zero responsibility.

Overall great experience. I appreciate being treated professionally yet with a friendly approach. Prices were reasonable and they did everything to return my vehicle timely and with my convenience in mind. Very appreciated, and highly recommended!

A++++++++ Service. Great communication and my service advisor took her time with explaining everything that needed to happen with my vehicle. The inspection was in-depth and gave me detailed information to make my decisions. Will continue to use First Landing for all of my vehicles. They have cleaned the inside and outside of my car including vacuuming.
