It's probably a story that has happened to thousands of people: I'm driving on I-235 W heading to work, enjoying the start of a beautiful day and suddenly... BAM... a rock from a dump truck in the other lane bounces off the road and nails my windshield. Needless to say... I was irritated. The crack was directly in my driving view, so this was going to get fixed fast or it would drive me nuts! I called three shops to get an estimate; most of them (Safelite and one other) make you do the estimate online. Estimates were in the $120 - $170 range; then I called Scott's Auto Glass. $90 out the door; bring it in on Friday and we'll get you out the door within 45 minutes they said. Great with me. Guess what? They actually did exactly what they said! I was at their shop promptly at 8 am CT and they were there and got me right in. 40 minutes later... done. And the work was fantastic; you can barely notice that a crack even existed. If this issue ever happens again (and I pray it doesn't), you can be 100% sure that I'm going to Scott's.
